MEET KELVIN

Kelvin with two of his brothers outside the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C.

Kelvin Green began his lifetime of service by joining the Utah Army National Guard in 1979. He was appointed as a Warrant Officer in 1985 and went on to serve nearly 40 years in a wide range of leadership roles, including Section Leader, Detachment Commander, Intelligence Operations Center Chief, Brigade Command Chief Warrant Officer, and Deputy State Intelligence Officer. His service took him around the globe — from Japan and Korea to Iraq, Macedonia, and beyond — including a one-year tour attached to Army National Guard Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

A retired member of the Army National Guard, Kelvin’s dedication to public service extends far beyond the military. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Japanese from the University of Utah in 1984 and later earned his law degree from Taft Law School in 2010. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2012 and is also a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims.

Kelvin has lived in the South Valley nearly his entire life, growing up just three miles from where he lives today in West Jordan. He remains deeply invested in the community he calls home.
